Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your next adventure with Kona.

How do I determine the right bike frame size for me?

We provide a comprehensive sizing chart on each product page. Generally, sizing is based on your height and inseam. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down for more technical control or sizing up for increased stability.

Do Kona bikes come fully assembled?

Bikes shipped directly to consumers are 85% assembled. You will need to install the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and seatpost. We highly recommend having a professional bicycle mechanic perform the final safety check and tuning.

What is the warranty policy on Kona frames?

Kona offers a limited lifetime warranty on most aluminum and steel frames for the original owner, provided the bike is registered within three months of purchase. Carbon frames typically carry a three-to-five-year warranty.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we ship to the United States, Canada, and select European countries. Shipping rates and delivery times vary by location and will be calculated at checkout.

What is your return policy for bikes and gear?

Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Please note that bicycles may be subject to a restocking fee, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective.

Can I upgrade components on my bike without voiding the warranty?

Yes, you can upgrade components like derailleurs, brakes, or saddles. However, any damage caused by improper installation or the use of incompatible parts is not covered under the manufacturer warranty.
